NASCAR Road Trip - September 12 - September 19, 1999

We (Dave and his brother Dan) began the first of several of our NASCAR stops by visiting the Darlington Raceway, the first super-speedway and home of the Southern 500 and the Transouth Financial 400. They about 20 NASCAR Winston Cup cars going to the late 40s.We were surprised how small of town Darlington, SC was.

Our NASCAR stop Lowe's (Charlotte) Motor Speedway, home of the Coca-Cola 600 and the Winston Select. We were able to walk freely about the stands and took the guided tour. The guide was informative and really enjoyed her job. We were able to ride around the track in a tour van as well

We visited our sister Lori and her husband Chester while we were in Charlotte, NC. It had been about 10 years since we had seen them. We had a great visit.

Our last stop the NASCAR road trip was at the New Hampshire International Speedway in  Loudon, New Hampshire. We had decent seats for race thanks friend of John Tasse's who works for Budweiser.

The 1.5 mile layout at New Hampshire International Speedway at Loudon, New Hampshire offers good visibility around the entire track. The Loudon portion if our trip would have been better if had been for the fact that it took over 2 hours just to get 100 yards to exit the parking lot.
