Actor / Director - Jason Yee

Jason Yee studied film making, writing and painting at Museum School of Fine Arts in Boston, Massachusetts College of Art and UCLA. He began acting in 1993 while studying at Collinge/Pickman in Harvard Square Cambridge, Massachusetts. Jason developed his acting craft performing in several mini-plays and short films.

Jason primarily considers himself an actor/producer/director from the school of life. In 1994 he took a very independent approach by purchasing his own 16mm movie cameras which he then shot and directed five short films.Along with being a filmmaker Jason is also a renowned Kungfu/ Kickboxing champion, he has represented the US in two World Championships and was inducted into the Hall Of fame by Inside Kungfu Magazine and the W.K.F. In 1997 Jason set out to combine his filmmaking and martial arts talents. Jason wanted to defy the odds by making an ultra low budget action/thriller his first feature film. After 4 years of perseverance Jason attained financing for this seemingly impossible endeavor and his second script, titled Edge of Darkness was green lit for production in 2001.

Jason aspired to follow in the footsteps of his inspiration, Academy Award Winner - Clint Eastwood, by acting and directing in his own film. He knew in order to succeed as an actor/director; he had to meticulously plan all aspects of production by applying the discipline he had learned as a martial arts champion. 

Now in 2005 with the success of his first film now titled, DARK WARRIOR at the AFM, Cannes Film Market and winning Best Action genre film at the New York International Independent film Festival, Jason is focused on establishing himself as a marketable actor and successful producer.
